This website shall describe the social problem of regional disparity and its affect on Alberta. By the 1930s Alberta’s economy was not looking very good due to the great depression and other natural
factors. However, not all provinces were affected as badly by the great depression.
Despite the fact that the Great depression affected everyone it can easily be said that the 1930s were far worse for Alberta than some of the other provinces.
The Great Depression affected everyone, however some provinces like Quebec and Ontario were less affected. They both experienced heavy unemployment but due to the fact that they dealt in manufactured goods meant that their products were more in demand internationally than the primary resources produced by the Prairie provinces such as alberta. They also did not suffer an inability to produce goods as Alberta did.
